William Welt joins our Spotlight Mix Series

William Welt is an up and coming artist with roots in the Newcastle Upon Tyne club scene, but these days is Manchester based playing events such as Meat Free and Loose Lips.

With an eclectic taste in music, his DJ sets equally incorporate both House and Techno with a distinctive mixing style that incorporates long blends, FX and DJ tricks… where records are often played more like tools than tracks. Playing on both vinyl and CD’s, William Welt recorded this mix on three decks, and played an impressive twenty tracks in his hour and eighteen minute mix, which include music from artists ranging from Marcel Vogel to Cirez D. Mixing new music with a few long forgotten classics, this mix is meant to be something you can keep coming back to, rather than just a selection of tracks that match current music trends.

Many also know William Welt for being label boss of 22 Digit Records, Eye Shadow and DEAD CERT. Records, with each of the imprints representing a specific part of his diverse taste in Electronic music.

Without further ado you can check out this excellent mix (it’s really rather good) and also find a full tracklist below…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
