Wheats joins Toolroom Records with debut EP

Toolroom Records have announced their youngest recruit, Wheats.

His story is certainly a unique one. Initially spotted by Mark Knight from a demo submission, in a little over a year he’s racked up over a million streams and countless plays from the world’s biggest DJs.

Now a fully-fledged member of the Toolroom artist roster, he drops his two-track ‘Warrior Wall EP’. Keeping the energy up with punchy stabs, the pace is quick and everything you’d expect from Wheats, taking you straight to a sweaty nightclub. It’s everything you’d want and need at 3AM, with the beat rumbling through a big speaker sound system. The b-side our premiere, ‘Everyone’ follows suit, offering the perfect hazy break down accompanied with a faint diva vocal.

“His story is one of determination, hard work and drive. Every single one of his tracks goes off in my sets. He understands the job of these tracks and he just totally gets the label. This is a longstanding relationship with Toolroom and Wheats. 2019 is going to be his year” – Mark Knight

Expect to hear a lot more from this hugely talented young artist over the coming months.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
