DT935 – Ferreck Dawn

Share

Alright, heads up, party people! Ferreck Dawn is back in the mix… literally dropping a monster guest set for the Data Transmission Podcast, and he’s packing some serious heat with his latest track, ‘Serious’. This one’s locked and loaded to take over the dancefloor and keep those summer nights burning bright.

Proper club ammo, trust.

With a career spanning over 17 years, Ferreck’s been laying down the law on heavyweight labels like Defected and Relief, earning nods from the big dogs including Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, and more.

The man’s a mainstay in house music’s elite circles, and this mix proves exactly why.

Now, let’s talk ‘Serious’.

This track is a masterclass in how to drop a banger. It’s got that 80s-inspired groove that just won’t quit, a vocal hook that grabs you instantly, and a bassline with pure swagger. The synths stab through the mix like lightning, and the hi-hats?

They crackle like fireworks.

It’s peak-time weaponry, tailor-made for when the floor’s at fever pitch.

Inside his Data Transmission Podcast mix, Ferreck brings a serious selection from Cloonee’s ‘Not Gonna Be Your Boo’ and Alaia & Gallo’s ‘Lipstick’ to Low Steppa’s remix of ‘Deep Inside’ and his own festival anthems like ‘In Arms’ and ‘Serious’. Expect a flawless blend of chunky grooves, rolling basslines, and hands-in-the-air moments throughout.

So what are you waiting for?

Hit play on the Data Transmission Podcast, stream ‘Serious’ on Beatport, and let Ferreck Dawn remind you what real house music feels like.

It’s time to reload and let this beast loose on the dancefloor.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

My new track ‘Serious’ of course.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

Cool vocal hooks on heavy low end to cater to everyone

Tell us about your next release?

Super excited to be back on Toolroom after many years with this disco’ish / old school house track called ‘Serious’. I love the vocals, the original is from 1988 so I wanted to stay in that 80s vibe. Hope you enjoy it!

What else have you got coming up?

I have my final release of the year coming at the end of November on Selected, a deeper tune which I’m also very excited about called ‘Velvet & Ice’. Furthermore shows coming up in the US and Europe so be sure to keep an eye on my socials for all the info.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

I hope you will enjoy my new track ‘Serious’ and the rest of this mix 🙂
