Tough Love combines with Dakar on ‘Take a Trip’


Following their debut Realm release, ‘Creeping’ alongside Gene Farris. Tough Love and Dakar reunite for follow up single ‘Take A Trip’ on the revered Gorgon City imprint.

Tough Love’s versatility to work both club leaning and crossover tracks have landed them releases on the likes of Elrow, Armada, Cr2, Kittball Records and Farris Wheel Recordings and many others over the years.

Meanwhile Brazilian talent Dakar has had an equally exciting 2019. With his original productions connecting on a global scale, Dakar is turning heads of tastemakers and even collaborating with Sonny Fodera and a future anthem on the way with Green Velvet himself.

Adding Tough Love to his heavyweight collaborator list, their new tune ‘Take A Trip’ is a dance weapon made for the club season in mind. Boasting a grooving synth breakdown and sinister yet hypnotic vocals, Tough Love & Dakar’s new single will certainly take you on a trip across dance floors and beyond.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
