Kuukou Records is a Berlin based Techno label headed up by Simina Grigoriu.  Along with releases from the label owner, Kuukou has also seen appearances from Paul Kalkbrenner, Housemeister, The YellowHeads, Alex Young, and Horatio, amongst many others.

The new release is a collaboration between Torsten Kanzler and Robert Egenolf who provide the original music with remixes from Dok&Martin plus Bjoern Torwellen.  Torsten Kanzler runs his own label TK Records and comes fresh from his recent album released on Bush Records, but has also contributed tracks and remixes to Driving Forces, Naked Lunch and Kiddaz.fm. Robert Egenolf is an up and coming artist who collaborated with Torsten Kanzler earlier in the year for an EP on Neuhain, but as a solo artist he has featured music on Berlin Underground and TK Records.

Providing the second remix & our premiere is Bjoern Torwellen who is a regular on Nachtstrom Schallplatten alongside contributions to imprints such as Sleaze, Brood Audio and Steil. His remix of “Void Trip” which subdues the originals melody part in order to let the percussion take control, and give the track a more trippy groove with hypnotic qualities.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
