Tom Wax & Ben Champell combine on their ‘We Rise’ EP

Tom Wax & Ben Champell release their first cooperation on Canada’s finest techno label Unity Records.

The Frankfurt-Hamburg connection kicks off with two peak-time Techno tunes called ‘We Rise’ and ‘Back To The Underground’. Both artists are well known for their successful releases on labels such as Codex, FeChrome, IAMT; Riot, Dolma.BluFin, Complexed or Studio 3000 and this is another chapter on their musical journey.

Tom Wax has always been a leading figure of the electronic music scene in Germany since 1988 and inspired a lot of DJs and producers around the globe with his unique sound between House & Techno. Even after more than 30 years behind the DJ booth he is still on a mission and prooves this in an impressive manner on such labels like Toolroom, Filth On Acid, CR2, Gain Records, FeChrome, Bush Records, Dolma Records, Suara, Great Stuff, Technoclub Records, Stereo 3000, Armada Deep, Deeperfect, WePlay, Kontor, Plastic City or his own Phuture Wax imprint.

Ben Champell’s sound is a mix of dark pressing techno beats and hooking melodic tech-house tunes all in a lower range of speed than techno music is usually played. Within the past 8 years, Ben released his tracks & remixes on labels like Funk, n Deep, Complexed Records, Stick Recordings; Soupherb Records or Jannowitz Records. Musicwise his home base he found at Complexed Records the imprint of techno legend Drumcomplex and Blufin Records based in Cologne.
