Sola release ‘Lost Summer Sessions 2020’

SOLA continues an incredible 2020 with the release of their first VA Compilation of the year. Aptly titled, ‘Lost Summer Sessions’, the fifteen track release features records from “some of the best artists on our roster, both from the past and our future picks” including stunning productions from the likes of Paolo Martini, Hannah Wants and Sosa to name a few.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the VA and how the compilation eventually took shape, Solardo described how “we take every and any opportunity to support smaller artists whose positions we’ve both been in” resulting in “a compilation of 100% club-focused records to shine a light on our lost summer of 2020”.

Liverpool’s Josh Samuel’s ‘Eyes’ shows up as a fast-paced acid-twinged number. After the track started getting big support from CamelPhat & Solardo just before the lockdown. Solardo snapped up the release to feature on ‘Lost Summer Sessions’. Josh is an up and coming artist based out of Liverpool. His love of music stems from as early as 5 years old when he began to play the piano. His first taste of dance music came in his teens, following in the footsteps of his older brother – who was also a DJ.

His sound can be described as hard-hitting tech house with inspiration from the evolution of house music, citing inspiration from the likes of Eric Prydz and Hot Since 82 among others.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
