Sankeys Reject Justin Bieber…

Well it seems being a teen sensation isn’t what it used to be. Well not in Manchester at least when the teenybopper’s favorite popstrel Justin Bieber was refused entry to Ancoat’s famous former soap factory after playing a sold out gig in the city. Quite what the alleged ‘singer/songwriter’ would have made of the likes fellow Canadian Marc Houle who played there on the Saturday and his set remains to be seen but who knows perhaps behind the high pitched puppy love warblings and white blazers remains a devoted connoisseur  of all things electronica?

Unlikely in our book and apparently Sankeys’ too as the electronic Manchester hotspot revealed on their website “Yes the rumours are true, we turned Justin Bieber away. He shuffles on stage and we can’t be having that in Sankeys!”

If you’re wondering what you missed Justin check out this stream and free download from Marc Houle below…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
