After a long and storied career spanning more than 25 years you’d think that iconic French DJ and producer Laurent Garnier would have considered any obligations to the electronic music scene well and truly fulfilled but rather than wind down his career or recycle hits from yesteryear the mercurial selector continues to push boundaries both in the booth and in the studio.

Since calling time on his own imprint F Communications he has undergone somewhat of a revival, taking his LBS live show around the world to critical acclaim alongside long term friends Benjamin Rippert and Scan X, dropping a series of well received releases on popular Parisian label Ed Banger Records, launching much lauded club Le Sucre in Lyon with fellow French producer Agoria and sharing fresh material under his Garnier moniker via Jerome Derradji’s Chicago label Still Music,  Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons, MCDE’s eponymous imprint and Hypercolour to deliver on his promise to release five EPs on 5 different labels in 2014.

Following on from this prolific period in the studio we’re not excited to be able to catch him behind the wheels of steel when he arrives in London as part of this year’s stellar SW4 Festival roster and to get you guys similarly in the mood for another performance from the mesmerizing Frenchman we thought we’d share Monsieur Garnier’s live set b2b with MCDE at Nuits Sonores from earlier on in year.

Another amazing set you can check it out courtesy of Red Bull Music Academy below:

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
