Ray Mono lands on hedZup with his ‘Biometric’ EP

Share

Ray Mono is back with more of his stylish grooves in the form of this ‘Biometric’ EP. It comes on the always on point French imprint hedZup Records.

Ray Mono prefers rolling, infectious tunes that get under your skin and tease with warm bass and subtle percussion. He has released them on the likes of NOFITSTATE and Moxy Muzik among others, and is in fine form here.

‘Biometric’ is a bubbly and stripped back house cut with slick synths and warped bass. It’s one for cosy back room settings to get the crowd under its spell. Songspire is next and hits harder, with punchy kicks that are super sweet, while dreamy pads swirl round them to soothing effect. Stephan Bazbaz steps up to remix with a more uptempo house beat and gorgeous late-night pads that are colourful, warm and soulful.

Our premiere ‘Envoy’, then gets edgier and darker, with a knotted bassline down low and loopy drums drawing you in beneath the layers of rich pads.

Check out ‘Envoy’ below and grab the whole EP on Beatport.
