Premiere: Renegade Masters – Brooklyn’s On The Map (Superlover Remix)

Share

Well-known and recognized for thick vibes, wild dance floors, and bringing world class DJs to NYC, SOUP NYC is popular among people seeking the best in electronic music and has deep roots in NYC; it was founded by nightlife icon Chris Love as one of many legendary events produced by Stuck On Earth, who in the mid 90’s to early 2000’s were at the forefront of dance music in NYC.

For their next release, Renegade Masters return to the label with an ode to the baddest borough, ‘Brooklyn’s On The Map’. The duo come correct with their signature gritty sound with rotund bass and jackin’ drums along with a vocal hook that lets everyone know what’s up. Berlin’s Superlover (Suara, Mother) infuses the original vocal hook with some disco flavor for our debut transmission today, and the Masters team up with Dubwah on a funky bonus remix.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
