Premiere: Ki Creighton – Jessies Joint (illyus & Barrientos Remix)

Share

Label Boss Ki Creighton drops his Jessies Joint EP as their 90th release on Under No Illusion. Based around Ki’s daughters ability to play the Piano the main hook is inspired by Jessica one day playing riff’s on her piano.

The lead track is a summer infused peak time bomb, laid out with crisp kicks and a rattling baseline led groove and that very elegant Piano riff. Its one for those BIG moments and a track that will stand the test of the summer and beyond . Serviced in time for the forthcoming Off Sonar week.

UNI enlist fellow Scots Illyus & Barrientos on the first remix our debut transmission for today and the lads deliver a more tribal tech workout with an acid led baseline and the vocal samples well placed over an analogue synth line.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
