Perc Trax announce Drax remix EP

Techno mastermind Perc is giving one of his favourite tracks a revamp via a new EP for his reissue/collab label Perc Trax Ltd.

The track in question comes from Drax, a.k.a. the legendary Thomas Heckmann. Originally released back on Trope back in 1993, as part of the Drax Three EP, ‘Phosphene’ became one of Heckmann’s most famous tracks, featuring in Carl Cox’s seminal F.A.C.T. mix CD in 1995.

Perc & Truss kick off the EP with a relentlessly heavy, grinding rework. Following that AnD harnesses punk drums to take the track in an excitingly unique direction, and finally The Exaltics provide an impeccably groovy electro version.

Perc Trax Ltd will release the Phosphene EP on October 13th in digital and vinyl formats.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
