Peaking Lights announce new album ‘Cosmic Logic’

Share

peakinglights.jpgAaron Coyes and Indra Dunis, better known as Peaking Lights, have announced their new album ‘Cosmic Logic’ will be released October 6th via Weird World.Promising 11 tracks of “vivid, nocturnal and sensual” pop, the album follows on from 2012’s ‘Lucifer’ LP, developing the L.A. duo’s much-loved sound further with influences ranging from Chicago house to dancehall, hip hop and disco. Put together in the band’s new studio, and finished off with the help of former LCD Soundsystem member Matt Thornley, ‘Cosmic Logic’ is a natural progression for Peaking Lights, yet is in no way solidifying their ever-shifting sound. “Peaking Lights’ whole thing has always been based on an idea of ‘Fucked Modern Pop’ but exactly what that is, we don’t know…we’re still trying to figure that out,” says Coyes.’Cosmic Logic’ will be available across all formats, with a deluxe LP that includes a limited edition bonus 12”, featuring two exclusive remixes by Peaking Lights, plus a special, exclusive t-shirt download album bundle. Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
