Mix Of The Day: Mat.Joe & Thabo Getsome Mix

Today’s Mix of the Day comes from three guys whose passion for music stemmed from Hip-hop, Rap and skating.

Mat.Joe AKA Matze and Johannes grew up in Hannover before moving to Berlin to challenge themselves artistically, it was here that their Hip-hop and Soul influences fused with their distinctively crisp Housebeat sound. Constantly on the look out for inspiration be it on subway rides or late night showers, the boys are constantly striving to improve and push their music foward.

Joining these guys in the mix is Thabo Getsome AKA Nils Thabo Gelfort who came into electronic music later in life, originally listening to Hip-hop and reggae before growing tired of “annoying cliches and stereotypes.” After running his own events and coming into contact with DJs and producers on a regular basis Thabo took the next natural step into producing, where he brought his early influences from Hip-hop to create his own sound.
