It’s cold, it’s grey and worst of all we’re not feeling ‘Christmassy’ yet. So if you’ve seen us skipping down the street today with a big grin on our face in spite of the weather you’d be forgiven for wondering what was the cause of our cheery demeanor. We’ll give you three guesses. Nope, it’s not our birthday. Sorry we haven’t just booked a holiday and no we haven’t just won the lottery. What we do have is an exclusive mix from Mak & Pasteman as the latest edition of our Mix Of The Day series and rest assured it’s certainly something to smile about.

Mixed in celebration of the release of their new four track ‘MATERIALS 003’ EP on their Materials imprint which arrived as a beatport exclusive this week it was just the tonic for our winter blues and has already got us looking forward to the various parties we’ll be attending this festive season. Check out their mix complete with EP cuts ‘Drive’ and ‘Bald’ below.

Out now you can grab your copy of MATERIALS 003 here

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
