Mindloader drops new music on Calibrate Records

Share

This Friday, November 1st, will see the exciting first release of brand new Drum & Bass imprint – Calibrate Records. It has been created as a sister label parallel to Liquid label Bay 6 Recordings, Calibrate aims to dig deeper into what Drum & Bass and Jungle have to offer in terms of experimentation and depth. Boasting a darker flavour to its counterpart, Calibrate aims to push the unexpected.

Mindloader is a liquid funk producer hailing from Denmark and he takes the lead with the first release with very good reason! Everything mentioned before has been consolidated into 2 pieces of clean-cut, forward-thinking Drum & Bass – ‘Same Mind’ and ‘You Take Me’. Mindloader pushes not only energy in his darker style of Drum & Bass, but he isn’t afraid to ignore the rules of the genre either. He is capable of creating stunning atmospheres and also dark depths in his music.

‘Same Mind’ is the more energetic of the 2 tracks; a little more straight-up. Encompassing huge amounts of sonic energy, Mindloader seamlessly blends sparkling synths, crisp drums and one heavy bassline, all into a neat little Drum & Bass shaped package! We expect to see this as a key player in many forthcoming mixes!

‘You Take Me’ is the perfect opposer to the single’s A-side. Mindloader pushes his experimental production hard on this track, providing an almost unsettling feeling from the estranged vocals to the complex chords, doubled with weighty bass, it’s definitely something different, that’s for sure! Fans of the deeper side of Drum & Bass will certainly appreciate this one.

Today we premiere ‘Same Mind’, which you can check out below. The two-tracker is out on 1st November via Calibrate, (remember that name!) and you bag yourself a copy here
