Well after a huge summer of massive albums which we enjoyed from the likes of James Holden, Ikonika, Moderat, Boards Of Canada, and Disclosure, the list was endless. One of our surprise favorites however was the 5th full studio effort of Ghostly chief Matthew Dear  as he released the ‘Complete Edition’ of his 5th studio effort ‘Beams’ back in June.

Now Matthew has confirmed he is set to revisit his Audion alias firstly by issuing a retrospective release of his works under the moniker before viewing to release a new album under the guise next year.

It’s been over nine years since Matthew’s Audion alias came to the fore back in 2004 via Ghostly International sub-label Spectral Sound and since then we’ve seen the native Texan deliver 14 EPs over a prolific five year period before giving the moniker a four year hiatus. Now following on from his collaborative work with Tiga, Audion will be retuning in full on December 10th with the release of a career spanning retrospective of his work entitled ‘Audion X’ which will also include two new productions, “Motormouth” and “Sky.” As if this news wasn’t exciting enough, Matthew also revealed plans for a completely new Audion album in 2014 complete with an accompanying live audio-visual tour.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
