Marc Romboy Feat. Möggli – The Trigger

Marc Romboy has gone back to his musical roots with ‘The Trigger’ which is out now on Systematic Recordings. In this production Romboy has opted for little more than a piston-driven 4×4 beat and jagged synth stabs, making for a masterful lesson in stripped-back aesthetics. Vocals on the track come from Parisian singer Möggli, which give ‘The Trigger’ a sultry, dance-floor mystique. Whereas ‘The Tool’ on the B-side sees Romboy remove Möggli’s vocals and replace them with pulsating bleeps which swell and mutate over the course of the song to provide it with a propulsive, industrial stomp.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
