Lauren Lane drops on Eats Everything’s Edible
After their big label
lunch launch just before Christmas called Edible Records, DT favourites Nick Harris and Dan Pearce – better known by his musical moniker of Eats Everything are back with their second release featuring the upcoming coming skills of Lauren Lane. Cutting her teeth on the NYC house circuit, and moving onwards to Hollywood’s Sound Nightclub where she was a resident, Lauren has become a regular jock on the festival circuit, taking in Coachella, The BPM Festival, Burning Man, Decibel et al, as well as regular club spots around Ibiza, Europe, South and North America.
The a-side is ‘Diary Of A Madwoman’ which pulls together three cuts that showcase Lauren’s flourishing talents perfectly, providing the simple melody whilst the soft ambient touches merely go to cushion those slammin’ beats and driving sub bass, so simple let a wicked groove. ‘The Right Kind Of Weird’ keeps this jumpin’ vibe with beats that Todd Terry would be proud of and an infectious b-line all dusted with micro samples, transposing ride cymbals and unassuming keys and finally the digital release features a third offering from Lauren, ‘FOMO’.
