Kraftwerk To Record New Album



More excellent album news today after Kraftwerk frontman Ralf Hütter indicated that a new studio album from the seminal german electronica outfit would be arriving “soon” over a year ago many fans feared that the promised output had not come to fruition, however Hütter has now given further confirmation that a new Kraftwek LP is indeed in the pipeline.

In a recent interview with English newspaper The Guardian, in itself a rare occurrence, Hütter spoke freely about the upcoming project as he confirmed the band are indeed currently working on a ninth studio album when he responded “Oh yes” when quizzed on the matter. In reference to the outfits recent performances of each album individually at Tate Modern and beyond Hütter added Now this is done, one to eight. Now we can concentrate on number nine.”

So with confirmation of another full studio effort it seems there is plenty of music to come from the industrial trailblazers yet as Kraftwerk have a busy summer of live shows planned -“Nowadays basically Kraftwerk is a space lab”- across the globe beginning with a performance at Barcelona based arts festival Sonar this weekend.
