Kevin Mckay combines with Ridney on ‘Booty’

Share

Next up on Glasgow Underground is a big collaboration between label head Kevin Mckay & Ridney titled ‘Booty’.

Kevin says “We have been fans of Ridney’s work since his late 00s anthems with James Talk. In the last couple of years, we have been collaborating closely with him as an A&R and working towards a single for them. We spent a lot of time sending each other ideas and they ended up working together on this one”.

He continues “‘Booty’ started out as a raw Cajual/Relief style cut’n’paste groove with Ridney sampling the vocals from Parris Mitchell’s Dance Mania classic “Ghetto Booty”. I brought in a second vocal hook and got the Rickenbacker out to add some French touch to the bass. After sorting out the sample with the lovely Mr Mitchell himself, we are all set to go”.

We premiere ‘Booty’ today, over on our Disco Infiltrators channel, check it out below and grab it on Beatport.
