French producer Kangding Ray has announced that his new album for Raster-NotonCory Arcane will drop later this year .

Recent years, have seen the artist exhibited on a number sturdy techno labels such with the likes of Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts and Mondkopf’s In Paradisium regularly housing his work but the Frenchmans album duties lie where his heart has always been – Raster-Noton.

The experimental producer has scored successes through the label – founded by Olaf Bender and Frank Bretschneider in 1996 – before, beginning his relationship with the outlet almost a decade ago with the release of Stabil and then successively releasing albums in 2008, 2011 and 2014.  It has been interesting following the curvature of Kangding Rays musical journey, with his focus leant on the uglierside of sound design. Something of a unique talent, his sound often choosing to shine a light on the more abrasive side of the sonic spectrum and his new material follows suit, showcasing his varied, yet finely-honed abilities over nine tracks.

Lining up as Raster Notons 167th release, Cory Arcanecomes with album art, complete with prose following an anti-heroines turmoil in the modern age, arriving on CD, double vinyl and digitally October 30th. Check out the trailer for the album below.
