Fresh off the back of being charged with delivering the last installment of Get Physical’s acclaimed Body Language compilation and the release a new EP entitled ‘Lost Express’ via the same imprint Azari & III’s Alphonse Alixander Lanza III  announced the demise of the outfit in a statement on his official facebook account claiming the project has “run its course” in a statement you can check out  below:

“Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, the art project known as AZARI & III has done its work, run its course and is, for all intents and purposes, a momentary blip in time, now forever imprinted on the Universe. Our recent EP entitled “Extinction Event” was just that, an extinguishing of the flame and a bird into the fire of blissful, eternal oblivion. It was heaven, it was hell, and I wouldn’t take it back if I could. Now comes the Aeon of the Phoenix, which rises from the flames impervious. Long live the new flesh.”

Before the split however their were several projects that had already been completed including this lush remix of James Wolf’s forthcoming single ‘Heart & Soul’. Set to land February 10th  via Herculean, the remix marks the final rework to be undertaking by Azari & III and in a bittersweet moment reminds us of why we liked them so much as a pairing in the first place.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
