Hako & Sonickraft combine on ‘Your Wish My Command’


Hako & Sonickraft’s previous collab was on DJ SKT’s Stashed, this time they bring us ‘Your Wish, My Command’, a highly anticipated melodic tech-house anthem, released on Marylebone Records.

With a chest-pounding bassline from the off ‘Your Wish, My Command’ is a guaranteed floor filler. Deep house with a progressive feel, the ambient vocals complement the beat while an electric lead runs through the spine. Close your eyes and let this track transports you into the high energy, magic and theatre that is Hi Ibiza.

Under his alias Hako, Henry Burke is making is already making a lot of noise in the house scene with an unbeatable concoction of heavy pumping bass-lines, raw cut vocals bursting with high-level energy and soul.

The DJ, who hails from North Wales, might be a relative newcomer but he’s already able to reel off an enviable list of esteemed house imprints he has released on including; Freakin 909, Hood Politics and DJ S.K.T’s imprint Stashed Music. This has drawn attention from elite taste-makers in all corners of the underground scene – the likes of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola and Max Chapman to name just a few. 

Hako told us: “I made Your Wish My Command at the start of the first lockdown, without inspiration from clubs I began getting into a more progressive style of house. I sent the track to Sonickraft for feedback and they got on board with it straight away. It’s turned out to be a much bigger track than I imagined and although it’s different to anything either of us have done before, it’s been my favourite track to create to date.”

In his debut year, Hako has racked up more than 100k streams on Spotify alone and features in some of the most renowned playlists around, from BBC Radio 1’s Dance Party to Spinnin’ Records. There are big things to come for the DJ who’s already graced the stage at Boardmasters, Gorilla Manchester and UK clubbing institution Ministry of Sound.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
