Golden Teacher Self Release Debut Album

It takes a lot to catch us off guard here at Data Transmission. Our finely honed set of ninja skills and survival training simply don’t allow it. Thus you can imagine our surprise at being completely blown away by an act we were previously unaware of last year, who seriously impressed as they rocked, rolled and jury-rigged their way into our sonic consciousness. For those who don’t remember our review raving about their performance, we’re talking about Glaswegian outfit Golden Teacher.

Having enjoyed an association to JD Twitch’s Optimo Music, the six piece band ooze an unashamedly different kind of cool, adding to their fast growing reputation with the release of each and every new EP they’ve dropped on us since we caught them in the flesh that night in Manchester. They’ve now compiled their first three EPs into an album titled ‘First 3 E.P.s’, which having arrived December 8th showcases the breadth of their influences, traversing afrobeat, acid house and techno amongst other soundscapes.
