Debut Transmission: Transposon - Inhalor

Since its debut release in September 2014, Liar‘s Tessier-Ashpool Recordings has stuck to a strict doctrine of ‘machine music’, offering sonic science-fiction from an far-reaching array of underground artists. Yet another new recruit, Savvas Kattamis – aka Transposon – closes out 2015 for the label with a 4-track EP of mind-bending techno and intergalactic electronica.

Our personal favourite, ‘Inhalor’ is perhaps the most danceable track on the record, but that’s not to say it doesn’t compete with the others on an experimental level. The Greek Cypriot producer presents submerged bass and crushed beats, shattered under their own immense weight. Countering this darkness, a cloud of tinkling atmospherics and sweeping vocals creates an absorbing artificial reality.
