Frankie Knuckles Tribute Tops First Official Vinyl Chart

We love Frankie Knuckles here at DT. One of the music industry’s truly unique individuals we can’t really thank the house music innovator enough for his contributions towards electronic music. With millions of fans around the world still paying tribute it is a testament to the mark Frankie left on the world that even the worlds most powerful man, the President of the United States was moved by his passing enough to issue a statement to commemorate his life and achievements.

Now we’re delighted to report that one of the latest tributes to be paid to the House legend – a special pair of cover versions of Frankie classic ‘Baby Wants To Ride’ by Underworld, Heller & Farley and The Misterons has topped the first official vinyl singles chart.

Both the limited 12” and download are available via Junior Boy’s Own on the release’s own official site with all proceeds going towards the Frankie Knuckles Fund, which supports HIV information, testing and treatment.
