Flash Atkins lands on Sprechen with his ‘Super Manspreader’ EP

Share

With perhaps the greatest crossover since The Avengers movies, we’re absolute top-shelf style pleased to shout that Paper Recordings’ resident washed-up superhero & beatmaker Flash Atkins is at the gates of Sprechen with a doubleheader dollop of serious slammers on his ‘Super Manspreader’ E.P.

‘Love You Again’ fires out of the gate in all its jacking & skippy percussion glory with a dubbed out bass & vocal that sounds like a long lost cousin of Super Stylin era Groove Armada, thats all before the cosmic-esque synths drop in followed by some hard hitting techno style stabs. Yes, it’s a multitude of sounds that is fierce as heck and an essential peak time style weapon.

Die Kiste wears its techno badge of honour on its sleeve in all its pounding panel thumping glory. Hypnotic as heck with some rather ace John Carpenter style synth chords to break tension slightly before dropping back into the womp-womp. Imagine what the inside of Sven from Bergahin’s head would look like and this is probably pretty much on the money!

We premiere ‘Love You Again’ on Data Transmission today, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
