Feadz Shares New Video as Debut Album Drops

After spending 15 years dominating a Parisian scene that would go on to capture the imagination of the world one might ask why has it taken so long for Ed Banger veteran Feadz to release his long awaited debut album? Well we’re still no closer to finding out what caused the big hold up but we’re glad the wait is over and having being enjoying his inaugural album Instant Alpha since it landed in January.

As with all Ed Banger releases the album is unashamedly party orientated, the 13 new cuts a balance of urban and electronic music that finds its roots in rap, freestyle, electro, techno and house, alongside more ghetto influences such as footwork, trap and even baile. Now to coincide with the release the Frenchman has just unveiled a mind melting animated video directed by Noah Spiderman.

“For me this record is a personal synthesis,” Feadz comments. “It’s also a response to a format where Techno doesn’t have a place; for me it’s a mix and a concept around DJing: there’s no need to press fast-forward to find the essence of a track because I’ve already reduced each number to its essential emotion. Experimentation is also at the heart of each track; I’ve always made music with this approach: I don’t start with a melody or a bass line, I start from a sonic experimentation that seems original to me and I build the track around it.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
