Part of a new younger breed of Dutch electronica, Applescal releaseed his third album after a string of other releases on estemed labels such as Traum Schallplatten and Manual Music. Remixing for artists such as Extrawelt and Max Cooper helped cement an already respected reputation and it is little wonder that his latest LP garnered such interest for his own label Atomnation. Now to celebrate reaching its 10th release and as a thank you to everyone who has supported the imprint thus far Applescal and Guido Hollaers have decided to release their new label compilation ‘10’ as a name your price download.
Incepted a mere one and half years ago, the Netherland’s based, Atomnation has been at the forefront of recent innovations in and the inception of braindance influenced electronica and techno, releasing stellar offerings from people as diverse as Applescal, David Douglas, Breek, Sau Poler, Weval, AnimalZOO, Yoshiba 87 and Gidge.
Applescal comments, “Managing a record label was something we never expected to happen until we impulsively started Atomnation on the 24th of May 2012. This was three days before the Yoshiba 87 record came out and we didn’t have a plan or anything. We released Yoshiba 87’s ‘Beaming Flowers from India’ album via Bandcamp and the ride began.”
The compilation will be released via the label’s Bandcamp on June 17th. Check it out below
