The sun is shining in London and we’re in a good mood here in the DT offices. Whilst Spring is in the air, summer en route and blue skies never being a bad thing; these are not the only reasons we’re of such a chirpy demeanour in the capital this afternoon, the other being the sounds of London songstress Ulla Nova. Fresh off the announcement of her debut single Kid from London we’ve managed to exclusively secure a fresh remix of the new track for your listening pleasures this afternoon.

Whilst the original has been described as showcasing a certain “provocative” side from the performer as the release fuses electro pop with Gainsbourg-Birkin like chanson and hip hop beats to culminate in her own unique sound it has been the remix from Davidian that has been making it’s way onto our playlist this week with the 22 year old from Nottingham really impressing with his house infused rework.

Out May 12, expect to hear the original everywhere in the coming weeks as we wholeheartedly expect this to be a number that is troubling the top of the charts much in the way we predicted Clean Bandit would before they scaled the top end of the charts earlier in the year.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
