paris3crop.jpgAs cult favourites R.O.C gear up to release a brand new EP later this year, the pioneering trio have announced their groundbreaking, self-titled debut album is to see a reissue via Metal Postcard Records.

Originally released through Setanta in 1996, the LP showcases R.O.C’s ability to avoid categorisation. Blending the rough with the smooth, their deft control of instrumental and vocal aspects reflects an absolute love and understanding of music.

Today’s exclusive sees one of our personal favourites from the album ‘I Want You I Miss You I Need You’ revamped by Grandbrother. The original sultry, abstract number is infused with a hazy summer warmth, taking on an upbeat psychedelic slur that puts us in mind of early Röyksopp and the chill-out movement around the millennium. Stream the track below.

R.O.C is out September 22nd, check out the tracklisting at the bottom.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
