Exclusive Premiere: Mike Steva – Sunce

It’s exclusive time again! Taken from ‘Who Am I’, the debut album of Melbourne house producer Mike Steva, we present ‘Sunce’, forthcoming on Yoruba Records.Despite being born in Australia, Steva has always claimed a deep spiritual connection to his ancestral homeland of Macedonia. ‘Who Am I’ presents a musical embodiment of Steva’s roots, employing lush, organic sounds a world away from the churned out sonics that unfortunately are so common in modern electronic music. ‘Sunce’ conjures up images of Cuban fiestas, its upbeat rhythm and chirpy brass perfect for those warm, lazy days at the end of summer.“As with all our releases we take pride in the development of artists’ freedom” explains Osunlade, head honcho at Yoruba and Steva’s staunchest supporter. “Mike has managed to do what most new artists haven’t, create a complete musical story, full of soul and sounds from his homeland of Macedonia, as well as soon to be house classics.”
