The sun has  finally arrived and we’re in a good mood here at DT HQ. Helping cause that good mood is the annnouncement that indie dance outfit Fenech-Soler have decided to premier a fresh remix of their new single ‘Magnetic’ with us this afternoon to celebrate the announcement of their hotly anticipated second full studio album.

Taken off of their upcoming LP ‘Rituals’ which will be released on September 2nd via Warner Bros. Records, the album follows their self-titled debut LP which was released in 2010 and earned them Q and XFM award nominations for The Next Big Thing and Best British Debut Album of the Year respectively, as well as substantial support from Radio 1.

Speaking of the new album vocalist Ben Duffy explains that they rationale behind the unashamed poppniess of their latest work “I think the pop element is certainly something that wasn’t calculated, but also something that we didn’t decide to turn our back on. For us, it’s been about paying attention to what makes a good song and about being direct. We haven’t been afraid to make a pop record. It’s about connecting with people on a universal level while remaining true to our dance roots.”

So with a album on the way  and  dates across the country this summer we thought we’d share the sane beats remix of their new single which will be available for free download via the player below for this week only. Enjoy…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
