Whilst many are reflecting on what has been an overwhelmingly positive year for electronic music we’re already looking forward to the sounds of 2014 with this premiere of Sigma’s ace remix of DJ Fresh’s new single ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’.
The release follows on from Fresh’s collaborative effort with Mad Decent head honcho Diplo on ‘Earthquake’ featuring Dominique Young Unique and sees him hook up with esteemed UK garage vocalist Ms Dynamite and St Louis producer Jay Fay for his latest cut on Ministry of Sound Recordings.
With the original being remiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 back in October, making it his ‘Hottest Record in the World, ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’ is the second single to be taken from DJ Fresh’s new album – due for release next year in what is surely to be one of the 2014’s most anticipated releases.
Until then check out this ace rework of the original which from Sigma, the production and DJing duo of Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie. Normally they’d need no introduction but just in case you missed their early releases on labels such as Hospital & Viper Recordings and the seminal ‘All Blue’ on DJ Zinc’s Bingo imprint they’re a pairing that have really cemented themselves as an integral part of the scene in recent years complete with the formation of a respected label of their own.
Somehow managing to up the energy quotas even further, check out their remix of ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’ below.
