Elliot Adamson drops the final album of his four-month LP trilogy project; the 11 tracker ‘PiHKAL’ on IDEA.
Recently the Newcastle-based 23-year-old has been making waves with his refreshing take on releasing and producing music. His previous two albums ‘‘I Watched Night Create Day’ and ‘TiHKAL’ came early in the year.
The aptly for the series finale, ‘PiHKAL’ is the most exploratory and experimental of the trilogy. It is richly informed by soul, disco, ambient, jazz, ghetto tech, UKG and beyond.
A project of this magnitude has been equally exhausting and rewarding for Elliot Adamson. ‘My best advice is not to take my advice, and my second-best advice is not to make three albums in three months,’
Elliot says. ‘I’d gotten a bit bored of dance music and decided to do something about it. As rewarding as it was stressful, I will never regret doing it. I work well under pressure so this method of working is optimal to my output, but I do also feel like I need about fifteen consecutive holidays.’
