Moody Disco Present Thugfucker at Smack (Brighton – Friday)

So, following on nicely from Moody Disco’s last party with Luca C & Francesca Lombardo, our next party sees us return to Smack. Last time they were there was for the Jackathon party which saw Radio 1’s Heidi & DJ T. going at it back-2-back well into the early hours of the morning. The atmosphere was electric, quite easily the best we’ve ever seen on a Brighton dance-floor and we can’t wait to get back there and recreate that energy! This time, they bring with them one of the most forward thinking acts around right now. For those that aren’t familiar with these guys, Thugfucker are based in New York and were formed after the pair spent years throwing parties and honing their musical and studio skills on the underground club scene over there. Since then, the pair has dedicated themselves to the debaucherous worship of all good things that can happen in a dark crowded room with good lighting. They’ve been steadily putting out quality music since 2004, but when Thugfucker’s single, ‘Disco Gnome’ dropped in 2011, that’s when people really started to take notice. It marked the beginning of the highly respected Life and Death records (owned by Thugfucker & Tale Of Us) and very quickly made its way into the boxes of some of the best DJs worldwide. It received widespread play in all kinds of clubs around the world from DJs as varied as Seth Troxler & the Visionquest crew, Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, Loco Dice, Sasha, Pete Tong and many more. It remains to this day a favourite of clubbers worldwide. Alongside them on the night you will also be treated to Marlon MahroyanChemical PlayJody Van Jefford and Ollie Sturdy, so don’t miss out get your ticket today:

All good things must come to an end… A saying that has never rung more true, as today news breaks that Tim Green’s raucous Bedlam party will throw its last party on July 6th.  Since its inception in 2009 and after 20 parties, Bedlam has become infamous for its parties at The Tunnel: A Napoleonic Fortress in Chatham, Kent, which was nominated as ‘Best Club Night in the UK’ in DJ Mag’s “Best Of British Awards’ in 2011. The Tunnel comes complete with a drawbridge to make it one of the most unique venues in the UK. After the past 4 years and over 20 unforgettable Bedlam nights, spine tingling moments, and life affirming experiences, it’s time for Bedlam to come to an end. Bedlam’s founders: Tim Green & Nick Liousias have revealed the decision was made in order to focus on a new label and events brand and other new projects which will be revealed over the course of the summer. As a result, its only fitting that the last ever Bedlam takes place at The Tunnel, Bedlam’s spiritual home in Kent.

Their productions have been on the cutting edge of house music ever since they shot to fame with their genre defining ‘Rej’ in 2005, with a string of classic tracks and remixes following. It’s with great excitement that we are able to welcome Âme to headline the final ever Bedlam. Grahame Farmer
