H&P: Studio Barnhus Showcase with Axel Boman (Friday)

Studio Barnhus ALL NIGHT! They will be hosting a label showcase from one of our favourite labels to emerge in the past year or so. The Studio Barnhus label has been responsible for some wonderful releases by the likes of Usio, Wesley Matsell, not to mention output by label heads Kornél Kovács and Axel Boman. They play all night in an intimate setting. Only a fool would miss out.

Fabric (Saturday)

In his second outing to Farringdon this year, techno royalty Ben Klock lands in surroundings that will be a little bit different than he’s used too with Fabric, Room One. Expect deep, hypnotic and heavy grooves that might transport your mind to one of his extended sets at Berlin’s Panorama Bar. Topping the bill is Detroit house tastemaker, educator and sound designer, Mike Huckaby, who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Motor City’s past. He joins UK producer and DJ, Pangaea, who capably represents one third of astonishingly fertile Hessle Audio label. One of the most consistent and forward-thinking nights based on a collaboration between DJs and live music, The Nothing Special, returns to Room Two this Saturday spearheaded by resident Craig Richards. Craig invites leader of Upperground Orchestra, Morphosis to play an experimental live set next to Mosca, an artist whose sets know no limits, regularly testing expectations as well as the speakers. Intimate East London party makers Nature or Nurture are back in Room Three with their driving force, The Pushamann, joining resident of Berlin dance mecca, Bar25, Beaner and Owen Howells who’ll be bringing some of his overflowing rave spirit to spill over the dancefloor.

Black Butter Records: 3rd Birthday Party (Saturday)

Black Butter have been clocking up hit after hit: two consecutive UK No.1s with Rudimental; Gorgon City & Yasmin crashing into the UK Dance Singles Top 10 with their debut track ‘Real’; producer Woz becoming one of the most sought-after DJs on the underground circuit – not to mention their recent BB tour with Rudimental, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Kidnap Kid and AlunaGeorge. To celebrate Black Butter’s 3rd Birthday in style we are flying over two of their favourite producers: all the way from San Fransisco we welcome Dirtybird’s Justin Martin, whose ‘Ghettos & Gardens’ LP has provided some of the biggest club tracks of recent years, and from New York City they welcome M A N I K, whose playful take on house & disco caught the ears of Jamie Jones & Lee Foss who signed him up to their Hot Creations imprint. The cherry on the cake comes in the form of legendary KISS FM resident DJ EZ, whose mix of fast paced bangers and garage anthems are set to make this a Birthday to remember!

Weekend Circuit presents Peter Van Hoesen (Saturday)

After a sell-out 2nd Birthday in April, they have been highly anticipating announcing one of their strongest line up’s to date with another top notch bill for everyone. They have been working for quite some time to bring Peter Van Hoesen to such an intimate location in what will be a rare appearance outside of Fabric, so you know it is going to be special! Along with running the legendary ‘Time To Express’, over the years Peter has found his work on labels including Ostgut Ton, CLR, Hotflush, Token & Stroboscopic Artefacts and is considered one of Europe’s leading pioneers of cutting edge contemporary Techno. Born in Belgium, based in Berlin but constantly on the move including regular trips to Japan, Australia and America, they can’t wait to welcome back Peter to London! Next up is Dax J, another home grown London based artist we’ve been looking forward to welcoming, who in the past year has been making real strides in the Techno scene. Joining Peter & Dax will be a special guest who we will be able to reveal soon and ever present Weekend Circuit resident Michael Wells. All of this will take place in the intimate setting of the Rhythm Factory in East London. A venue that they have grown to love with a thumping soundsystem and 6am finish, it’s set to be the perfect backdrop for a night of cutting edge Techno on the 8th June.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
