It seems like a very long time ago electronic 3 piece Moderat, the amalgamation of eclectic duo Modeselektor and techno don Apparat first announced they’d be following up their enormously successful eponymous first album together with a second full length studio effort entitled ‘Moderat II’  and we waited patiently for new content. The wait to listen the sophomore album was well worth it but much in the way of any addiction quickly led to us thirst for more material from the uber talented trio.

Well now the wait is over. Sort of. Whilst not brand not Moderat content we’ve been able to lay our hands on the next best thing with the sharing of a new remix package helmed by Pampa Records boss DJ Koze and Robag Wruhme which sees release later this month.

Available to preview now the 12” sees both artists rework the outstanding album cut Bad Kingdom. Awesome stuff.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
