DJ EZ is quite simply a legend! His name has flowed throughout the UK underground dance scene over the passed 20 years. This is why we’re very pleased to bring you the news that he will be stepping up to deliver FABRICLIVE: 71, which will be released 16th September.

EZ started out DJing on pirate radio stations in the late 80’s, early 90’s then in November back in 2000 he managed to land a weekly show on Kiss FM! He was already big on the underground scene but this thrust the man into the spotlight and increased his fan base immensely. When someone says the name DJ EZ what pops up in many peoples minds are his ‘Pure Garage’ compilations, of which there were 16, we believe. All being extremely successful and just showing us the true power that this man wields.

DJ EZ had this to say about this latest endeavour: “Despite never leaving, the sounds and influences of UK Garage and bass culture are stronger than ever. With artists and DJs currently favouring the combination of Garage and House elements, new producers such as Disclosure are leading the way and it’s great to have their music across my FABRICLIVE mix.” EZ went on to say “Having been DJing for many years now, I have to balance my sets to cover the new EZ follower whilst not forgetting the ones that supported me to get where I am today. It’s not an easy task but I believe this mix will appeal to the wide audience that I am fortunate to play to at this time. If you like your 2 Step, 4×4, Bass, Underground beats, Vocals, Old Skool and New – FABRICLIVE 71 is the mix for you.”

EZ’s live sets manage to reign fire on the dance-floor with devastating effect (just check out his Boiler Room set below) and his FABRICLIVE: 71 is no different. Expect old-school favourites like  2-step classic ‘Destiny’ by Dem 2 to the 4×4 classic ‘Dreams’ by Smokin Beats, through to upfront cuts from Todd Edwards and Moony, and more modern artists such as Disclosure and SBTRKT. This album has it all and is definitely a must have this year!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
