Discogs Announces Forthcoming Mobile App

If you’re a vinyl nut, there’s a good chance you’ve used Discogs to help fill your crates. Through its unmatched database of physical releases, the website has become an invaluable source for both collectors and those simply seeking information. Now Discogs has announced its going mobile, with an official app planned for early 2016.

Although Discogs users will then have an alternative to current mobile marketplaces such as Android’s Discollector and MilkCrate for iOS, according to the original report from Vinyl Factory, it seems the app won’t allow users to communicate with sellers or purchase items (you’ll have to go back to the website for that), so it remains to be seen just how helpful the app will actually be.
