The new takeover at Samsung’s Boxpark Galaxy Studio starts today, it features a series of music events Samsung is hosting this autumn. The space has been morphed into a 1990s vinyl record store, re-worked for the digital age and is currently being commandeered by some of the hottest independent labels on the British music scene.

This week sees Defected taking the reins with their opening party, including a set from founder Simon Dunmore and Copyright. Also coming up will be Hospital Records and Anjunabeats bringing their sounds to the park.

In addition, the UK’s biggest dance music magazine Mixmag will host its weekly DJ Lab every Friday broadcasting live via YouTube. This Friday, 25th October will feature Nick Curly, Yousef and Sam Divine.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
