Northern Ireland has found it easy to hit international headlines over the past few decades, although admittedly not always for the most pleasant of reasons. But away from various problems that unfortunately still divide some areas, the country’s electronic music scene has had electronic music lovers the world over sitting up and starting to take notice.

At the forefront of the movement has been Exploris head honcho Ejeca, who with his distinctive brand of techno shining the brightest of lights on the vibrant Belfast scene. Thus when we heard Ejeca was prepping his label’s first of  2016 with a little help from DT favourite Chris Hanna and fellow Northern Irishmen T-bone & Slurrp, we just knew we had to get in on the action. Titled the ‘Meme’ EP, it’s Hanna’s remix of the record’s title track that has impressed us most here at Data Transmission and serving as today’s exclusive Debut Transmission, continues the fast rising producer’s rich vein of form.

More intense than a staring contest with Liam Neeson, you can check out Chris’s gritty remix of ‘Meme’ below.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
