Fans of the site may remember how excited we were when London staple Deadboy returned for the first time since 2011’s ‘HERE’, with the release of new four track EP ‘BLAQUEWERK’ to show off the sound he’d been honing in the studio for the last couple of years. The release was the first of a set of several to be announced as in the works for Numbers, with the appropriately titled ‘Return’ EP then arriving back in April.
The latest episode in this prolific streak from Deadboy comes in the form of a free download of his rework of Coldcut and Lisa Stansfield’s ‘People Hold On’. Continuing to skip through genres as effortlessly as he does tempos traversing across hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, UKG and the bassier end of the house spectrum we’re loving this uber active period Deadboy is going through at the moment and hope to he keeps it up over what is undoubtedly going to be a big summer for him.
