Daft Punk hit the Studio with The Weeknd

It has been emerging that the Robots, Daft Punk having recently hit the studio with R&B crooner The Weeknd.

The news first came out in Billboard’s feature about ‘First Hitmakers Roundtable: 7 of Music’s Top Creatives and Influencers on the State of Pop, 10-Second Attention Spans and the Song of the Summer’ where they interviewed some artists & music industry execs.

Responding to a question about artists they admire and hoped to one day work, Goldstein said: “Actually, we have a session coming up in two days … with The Weeknd and Daft Punk,” and continued with “I’ve always been a massive Daft Punk fan, and this is the first time that I’ve actually been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”

Following that, this image below popped up on The Weeknd socials.  Could this lead to new music for both, hopefully… This will be the first ouput for Daft Punk since their 2013 album ‘Random Access Memories’
