What a summer of albums it’s been this year and it looks like Autumn is going to pick up where the warmer months left off with efforts from Moby and Chase and Status amongst many others set to treat us to new full length efforts as the summer ends. The latest name you can add to that list for albums to look out for is veteran L.A producer Daedelus who has announced that he will be releasing his next LP via the meteorically rising imprint Anticon on Septmber 17th.

Entitled ‘Drown Out’ the latest effort from the prolific Daedelus promises to be a more melancholic and reflective affair than his previous material which much of the upcoming fare composed at a difficult time for the artist as she struggled to deal with the loss of close friends and family members as he explains “Everyone deals with death and departure in their own way. For me, it started to stew and manifest itself in sound… There was a longing to express myself louder then the grief. This is the album that I needed to make.”

The album will be preceded by lead single ‘Paradiddle’ which can be streamed below

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
