The Coronet is given an Extra Year to Party!

After announcing last November that South London Nightspot The Coronet was shutting sfter 136 Years this coming January 5th 2017, we are delighted to announce that they have had their lease extension accepted and therefore extended the future of the Coronet for one more year till 2018!

2016 has been an exciting year for them, featuring many memorable live shows and club nights and showcasing our versatility as a venue. Then just as the team were preparing for the last hurrah, this reprieve has re-ignited the engines. They hope to make 2017 even bigger and better than 2016 and make it a truly fitting farewell to this magnificent building, which is filled to the brim with musical history.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
