Classixx Booed Off Stage Whilst on Zedd Tour

Sometimes opposites attract and two artists from completely different ends of the spectrum can collide to create a unexpectedly great maelstrom of a combination; we’re thinking Run DMC vs Aerosmith whilst others as expected crash and burn: we’re looking at you Paul McCartney and The Bloody Beetroots – so to put together two acts that don’t seem a natural fit is always a gamble.

The gamble doesn’t appear to have paid off for EDM superstar Zedd on his American national tour with Classixx being booed off whilst performing as the opening support act in Chicago. Typically fans took to twitter to vent their anger at their track selection which does sit fairly far in contrast to that of Zedd.  Zedd himself is yet to comment on the furore and in their defence the fans so heavily criticizing the duo were never going to be won over by Classix brand of electronica whilst plenty of the more open-minded Zedd fans have equally shown their support for the duo.

Personally we think diversity is what makes dance music great and should be embraced. Try something new today you never know you might just like it.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
