Chad Lock & Matt vandenBerg team up on their ‘Excuse Me/Control Out’ EP

Chad Lock and Matt vandenBerg are two of Western New York’s brightest young talents, having landed releases on labels such as Tip Tap Recordings. Deep Tech Recordings, Amber Red Recordings, and more all within the last year.

Their first collaborative effort, “Not Going,” reached #1 on multiple Beatport release charts and the two are looking to continue much of the same with their upcoming ‘Excuse Me/Control Out’ EP due out on Amber Red Recordings this February 8th.

The EP’s lead track, our premiere, “Excuse Me,” is a proper tech-house record with moody synth lines and a catchy vocal sample. High-energy hi-hats and an undeniably groovy back melody contribute to what is a truly solid production primed for the return to the dance floor, whenever that may be.

“Control Out” is a more subdued cut that features tasteful 303 synths and an echoed vocal to build around a crisp percussive rhythm made of quick hi-hats and a bouncy low end. With futuristic effects and a minimal feel to it, “Control Out” is a unique production with impeccable sound design that simply should not be overlooked.
